Hobbies
When I was a child I played with Lego and Mecano, later I got a Philips electronics-construction set for my birthday. Electronics turned out to be the base for my profession.
Another hobby of mine was photography, which I practised with changing intensity. The past years it grew to be my main hobby.
Until I was 25 my main sporting activity was soccer. After that I tried volleybal and badminton, I excelled in neither of them. For the secondary education I had to cycle 17 km daily, even in rain, snow and storm. I did not understand people could enjoy biking. When in 1997 I figured I had to lose some weight I started biking again. Not just to get to work, but also for fun and I bought a touring bicycle and joined a touring bicycle club.
